Do I have to download the entire Scene/Space everytime I connect?

No. We cache the state of the Massless Space in the Unity project or Blender file. Opening a saved project and connecting to the Massless Space will begin the synchronization process from the saved state.

Can I have a private Space?

Contact us at space@massless.io to request a private Space.

Does the entire mesh get uploaded everytime I edit it?

Yes. For now. Everytime you move from Edit Mode to Object Mode in Blender the entire mesh will be uploaded to the Massless Space server. We have mesh diffing as a feature request. This shouldn't be an issue unless you are frequently editing very high poly-count meshes.

Is there a file size limit for assets or a size limit for spaces?

Not at the moment! We're currently limitless. I'm sure we'll have to add some restrictions as we move forward. But we want to try and keep the Global Studio as limitless as we can.

Can I use Massless Space with Unreal, Maya, Cinema4D ...etc

Not yet! The Massless Team is focusing on getting Unity & Blender fully online. However, our API is public. If you don't want to wait for Massless and are so inclined, you could join our open source development effort. Check out our API for more information.

I'm a software developer, can I use Massless Space for real-time collaboration in my application?

Sure! Contact space.api@massless.io so we can understand your needs and provide an API key. In the meantime, check out our API for more information.

What does Massless mean?

The word Massless means without mass or matter. Computer graphics look real (especially in VR) but they aren't real, they aren't made of any matter. We also see computer graphics through photons emitted from our displays, which are massless particles. In fact, all digital information is just state, on or off, 0 or 1, which has no mass. It is all Massless.
